The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7102) is fortunate to receive the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update through the unofficial CyanogenMod 12 (CM12) ROM. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the CyanogenMod team and XDA senior member mukulsoni for this release.
XDA Developers have verified that this unofficial CM12 ROM build is highly stable and fully functional, with the exception of the incoming voice feature on the second SIM and FM Radio audio. The ROM is based on the original AOSP source code, making it free of bloatware and lighter than Samsung’s native TouchWiz UI.
Notable Features of the CM12 ROM:
- Wifi Working
- FM Radio Added
- SELinux Disabled
- Updated Music Player
- Updated Gallery
- Updated Default Calendar
- New Beautiful Default Wallpaper
- New Boot Animation
- WhisperPush (SMS Encryption)
Note: If you encounter the screen lock bug on your Galaxy Grand 2, download the newer 2.0.1 version of CM12 ROM here.
